This has been an uncharacteristic winter for Victoria. Temps are pretty normal, hovering around 5-10*C, but in 20 years I can't remember a winter with so many blue sky days. And the clouds have been fantastic! Usually it's just grey and flat, but we've seen lots of white fluffy stuff floating past.
Vice versa for Finland. Sun came out on satuday, first time in three weeks. -5C, snowing and grey again today.

To rub it in to the poor souls that are braving snow and ice at the moment, here is me walking and photographing at the beach with my girlfriend at sunrise.
But hey, we got no turkey dinner here Downunder, if that is any consolation to you... :D

It is very consoling. Can't live without turkey dinner. We also smoke turkey in the summer.

Pretty shot.

with the combined effect of the prolonged drought it looks like Xmas might as well just be only fun at the beach.
Dam levels dropping fast too

Doing a little bit of shopping with the Wife. Poor little car. Saw 50 degrees register at one point sitting in traffic. From the radiant heat off the road, & surrounding vehicles I guess.

This last week, since I got my Em1.2, it's been dark, damp and dull. Yesterday however, it was like this. That said, it was an opportunity to see how well the AF coped in such poor visibility, and I'm happy to say it did much better than I expected.

While our part of Australia isn't overrun with such an extreme bushfire situation as the eastern seaboard, we have had dry lightning storms start bushfires in the usual places around our area in the past few weeks. There's no current fire threat, but tonight thick smoke found its way from a fire somewhere and filled up our valley.

Frightening images of that national desaster down under - I cannot and do not wish to compete.
This Grey heron enjoyed the morning sun in Zurich. Dirty double-glazed window competes with Olympus optics - I am bragging with the beautiful weather.
