Following some discussion in the newly renamed Urban Image Thread I've created this thread to distinguish between Urban images taken at street level (see here), and broader urban landscapes and cityscapes which will live in this thread.

San Francisco from Coit Tower this last Friday. Fog all morning, but by the time I got to the top of Telegraph Hill with my daughters it was spectacular.

Click the image for a much higher res shot.

<a href="http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff212/brewedforthought/Personal/?action=view&amp;current=Coit-120127_north.jpg" target="_blank">[img]http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff212/brewedforthought/Personal/Coit-120127_north-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Golden Gate to Treasure Island from Coit Tower"></a>

Both shots were taken with my PL-1 with kit lens at 14mm. I had to take each photo from a different window within Coit Tower. Smudges and dirt were removed from the sky, but not water or city. Microsoft ICE was used to stitch the photos.

several urban photos

Sorry, didn't notice the difference with the urban image thread, the first three were all taken from the "street level", could somebody help move the post?

I'd like to share some urban photos taken last year however sadly which were either taken with mobile or Panasonic ZS7. Only if you don't mind.

MS ICE sure is the best thing to make stitches, simple and perfect.

Hi,

I find the Lumix 20mm a little bit too narrow for street photography but the quality and pancake style makes me maintain it as main lense. However, combination with panorama-making software as Microsoft ICE can fix this problem.

I am thinking about to buy a pana 14mm. Would I find so much difference regarding the lense quality and sharpness?

greetings
