Had to grab this snap for a bricklayer friend … the French do thing a little different from the looks of this build at L'Holme.

The Hamlet of L'Herm - Chemin de Stevenson Trail, France -2018-29 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

This house was typical of the stone construction evident in the little hamlet of L'Herm, our last hamlet and source of water (water fountain here) for the day. From here we could look down into the valley to see on our final destination for the day, Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille.

Another example of the stone house construction that we saw a lot of during our walking on this day. This quaint property was on the outskirts of the hamlet of L'Herm.

1990’s Suburban Architecture – Ellen Street, Fremantle by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

A “stunning” example of 90’s suburban architecture in Fremantle. Apparently in January 2020 valued in the range of $765,000 to $1,005,000. I am thinking lower end, block value.

Shutters, not French, not British but well Australian. Added not for function of course but style!

If that was in the USA, I would have guessed mid 60's to mid 70's.

I thought the same, but the real estate data I found on the property says 1990. Maybe the builder was trying for a historical look

A tower to go with the shutters. It seems to have no functional purpose so maybe the original owner was English or European and was reminiscing or something. Just one of those suburban oddities in Fremantle.
