Sooo, while at my niece's daughters Baptism I was manipulated by a six year old whom assured me she could take great pictures if I let her use my camera, I admit to being a little nervous since she had to struggle to hit the shutter button . I made her agree to use my wrist strap as a neck sling and off she went! She does like to fill the frame.

Here's a couple of composite portraits I created last weekend. All photos were taken with an E-M5 & Sigma 56mm f/1.4 (lit by Godox TT685o & TT350o).

Feel free to c&c. I'd especially appreciate any tips on how to improve since I haven't really done this kind of work before.

This is my daughter on her year 12 formal day. The whole year group go to a riverside location for the families to take photos. As you can see, I was battling full sun at 3 in the afternoon and not much shade.
Both shots taken with my E-M1 with Oly 12-60mm and FL-50R flash. Shot raw and edited in Luminar Flex. I was pretty happy with the quality considering the harsh conditions.
Cheers

And fighting the light with more light is the right idea for that situation. I've taken to making sure the window screens for our car have a silver side, and when combined with what ever bag we have with us as a rest, they work well enough as reflectors in this kind of light.

Getting actual reflectors is more specialist than I want to go with my hobby but this dual purpose works and doesn't trigger any 'spent what? on something used how? often!'
