Starting to like this lens. A bit heavy, but it feels good when using manual focus.

I took my son to Winslow Farm in Norton, MA this past Sunday. I decided to use the Rokinon lens exclusively. The entire album is available here: https://picasaweb.google.com/114357622835968962189/WinslowFarm562012#. Here are a few samples from it:

Note: the muted colors are due to my processing and not related to the lens itself.

Great set of pictures in your Picasa. The first sample you showed above is really excellent!

Thanks, Amin! It's always a challenge to get a natural smile out of my son, so I'm especially happy with that picture.

I would love to see that lens on your camera.

I don't have any pictures like that right now, but I'll see what I can come up with. If I'm feeling especially motivated, I'll even mount it on my fiancee's Canon 450D for the sake of comparison.

Used my Samyang 85mm F1.4 (nikon mount) on a walk with a dog in the forest today.

I shot with the lens exclusively over the Memorial Day weekend. The album is available here: https://picasaweb.google.com/114357622835968962189/MemorialDayWeekend2012# .

Got this lens on EOS mount, so I can use it both on the NEX and E-PL3. I found that the NEX is perfect for manual focus, but the E-PL3 is not bad either

I liked the lens very much but it was tad too long for my taste. Here's a few samples for the thread I shot before selling it..

It is a little long for everyday use, but I think I have a few scenarios where the lens is perfect. For its quality it is relatively cheap enough for me to keep for just when those instances come up.

I agree. I'll probably have another one day. Right now the budget is over strained with items that I deem as necessities. Maybe by then Samyang will have a native m43 version. Tiny like the 7.5mm redo.

RE Rok 85 f1.4 street theatre pix...

Wow, Love your style and timing. I have just bought the Rokinon 85mm f1.4 to use for similar situations [mostly rock concerts] and am inspired by your "closeness' to the action with this optic. Congratulations. You really understand your gear.

I used to put this lens on Olympus 4/3 cameras, and planned to sell it when I switched to m4/3. But after seeing the results such as in the following pictures, I might reconsider...
