Hi,
My 50-200SWD is showing symptoms of a poor electronic connection to the body... the displayed focal length and max aperture keeps changing, especially as the camera or lens moves or when there is pressure or torque between them.
At first it was only happening on the EC-20 TC, but now it's happening almost the time with no TC's, but my other 4/3 lenses seem fine.
I've cleaned the contacts on all components with 90% Isopropyl alcohol and Q-tips, but it didn't help.
I've also checked the lens' mount and MMF-3 for loose screws; all were fine.
I'm sceptical that a stronger contact cleaner such as Deoxit would make a difference, as gold doesn't oxidize.
Should I take the back of the lens apart and check for a loose connection on the other side?
Here's a crummy macro picture... the lens' terminals have some visible wear where the pins on the MMF-3 contact, but it's still all gold:
