I stumbled upon one of these on ebay the other day. It's a cool looking camera.

I stumbled upon one of these on ebay the other day. It's a cool looking camera.

Its fun to use for sure. Pros - AF is good, has a good buffer for its time (better than my K-01), takes nice pictures and the kit zoom is pretty good. Cons - screen isn't that great on a bright day with limited viewing angles, metering can be a little off (maybe just lack of range on the sensor?), size is marginal for my medium-sized hands.

Can’t really say how sharp it is with the downsizing the forum does, however the color and contrast look fantastic out of that little lens! Nice buy.

Its not bad - I'm purely an amateur & pixel peeping leaves me a bit depressed (as most of my shots are out of focus at 100% ). Current Q-S1 gripes - focus confirm beep lies sometimes (not particularly unusual but seems marginally worse on this body), metering doesn't seem as good as other cameras (could just be lack of dynamic range on the tiny sensor and I'm expecting too much), images can be mushy in low-light even at low-iso (really need to make use of the flash!). All that being said, very keen to get out and about with it on a nice day for some compact/discrete street shooting; the zoom was great for this but the back-screen doesn't hold up in bright-light and framing can be fiddly - should be much easier when I get a feel for the prime + much easier to pocket.

Took advantage of that 'free' Luminar deal mentioned in the forum - usually like to keep processing fairly vanilla but it can be useful for beefing up a small-sensor image.
