Explored a new location, on the outskirts of Bangalore. Some images to share -

1.

Parasitic wasp on Pentatomidae egg clutch

2.

Wall crab spider, Selenopidae sp blending into the bark

3. Shot with the Raynox DCR-250

Common wanderer butterfly wing close-up

4.

Moth caterpillar with emerging wasp larvae!

5. A small subset of the mosquitos wanting a bite or two!

Fieldwork can literally be blood, sweat and tears!

Excellent macros!

BTW, the mosquitos in 5 look like aedeas aegypti - main vector of dengue virus. Hope I would be proved wrong .

Thank you! Hoping it wasn't carrying the virus. Forgot to apply the repellent :(

Excellent. I like the first one the most.
Thanks much :)

As an ecologist, I love it that you identified the various species — and that you showed parasitic interactions… including the last shot! :)

Does your camera body have a way of accepting EXIF data from non-electronic lenses?
Thank you! I love showcasing the lesser seen fauna, not using the common names helps :)

The adapters I use relays the standard "50mm" for all lenses :|
