I don't know how often it goes up because I'm still going through the "free" paper I got with the printer, but I see that most of the canon papers are discounted:

I needed some matte paper and got some 8 1/2 by 11 for about 20 bucks after shipping/tax. I don't know if this is one of those "Fake sales" where something goes on discount every other week or not.
